Worship is a very emotive subject among Christians. There are all manner of views on exactly what it means and what it entails.
For some it is keeping to a strict liturgy, where everything is written down and gone through in order. For others it is a case of simply turning up and seeing what happens “as the Spirit moves.” There are those who are somewhere in the middle and have a structure or order of sorts but it isn’t necessarily written out word for word. Obviously, there is a wide range in this category.
There are still others who think that worship is not about what happens when Christians meet, but it is what is going on 24/7 in their lives.
Let’s see what Jesus said “God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and Truth. (John 4: 24 ESV). Says it all really!
